Cop Cars, how much HP do they have what kind of engines are in them?
I always see cop cars outrunning all types of cars, from stock to high performance. The only things they really don’t outrun are motorcycles what are under the hood? I have heard from having viper engines to vette engines true?
they have the same engine has the ones you buy. They do not have viper engine. They have found that cars to performant were dangerous because the cops could easily lose control of it.
the most popular ones are the crown vics, impalas, and charger. Charger is quite powerful with its 340hp.
They are not that fast. A crown vic does about 8sec 0-60.
A charger about 6 sec. But they have skidpad of about .80 which is not a lot to take a turn.
They are faster because first of all the cop knows how to drive this car fast. Also the cop is less nervous than the guy trying to escape. And with the lights on top, the cop doesn’t have problems getting people out of its way.
A police package crown vic has a max speed of about 120mph.
